I enjoy regular walks through my local park and watching the leaves slowly change colour. All the wildlife babies from the spring have now grown up.
I have continued to find more conker treasures too ;0)
And in my own garden the colour palette is changing too,
All these golds and browns inspired me to try something very different for me this year. I decided to try an autumnal palette for some crafting. Normally yellows, browns and orange rarely feature in my crafting world. If I am honest I am not a huge fan of dark brown or orange for making cards and I rarely tend to use it as a prime colour. However there are so many great card challenges this month which are asking for autumnal colours I took the plunge. As I do not own any autumnal themed papers at all I decided that I would make my own backing paper with some TH distress inks. The only distress ink pad colours I have which are vaguely autumnal are vintage photo, black soot and walnut stain. I also decided to add a little yellow with my squeezed lemonade distress ink. I went down to my studio and got messy and here are the papers I produced as well as a tag.
I then realised that I had no real autumnal rubber stamps, until I remembered that Halloween is associated with the autumn. In an ancient box of stamps I remembered I owned a spiders' web wood backed rubber stamp which must be 10+ years old. I also wanted to make a new Guest DT card for Ignacio of Nicecrane designs using his fun Halloween digi images. I love being part of his team and he has produced some fabulous Halloween Images . I chose 3 images and printed them off. He also has a great sheet of Grunge Halloween sentiments The beauty of them being digital is that you can make them any size you wish.
I used my spiders web stamp and gold embossing powder to put some detail onto to my inked card.
For my first card I used the top image as that really makes me smile.
Here it is; now don't be spooked...........................................................;0)........................
BOO!
