there is nothing like the glow and smell of Christmas......
They give light to these long dark days.
I have been working on my Funkie Junkie cards as yet again I am a little behind. I have been able to work some days in my studio as our cold snap has given way to some milder weather again.
For those of you who are new to Linda's challenge you can read all the rules of it here. In a nutshell you use her weekly tag for inspiration and you can create anything crafty and as long as all 12 projects are completed by 22 Dec. You also have a chance to win one of her generous prizes. I was lucky enough to win $25 dollars last year to spend in her wonderful on line boutique which sponsors the challenge. Do have a look here at her shop, her stock is enormous and her prices really keen.
I choose to use the challenge to create 12 special Christmas cards.
This is her week #9 creation here
I was inspired by the large snowflake which I decided to make the focal of my card. I also liked the strung greenery. It inspired me to use some Christmas greenery stamps to make a masterboard. I still need to make a few more cards and this is a great way to get several backing cards in one go. This is also the theme over at PaperArtsy this fortnight.
I brayered some acrylic paints.
I then added some text with my Artistic stamper script stamp
I then used several Christmas greenery stamps.from Tim Holtz's retro Christmas sets
I also die cut some snowflakes
I added snowflakes to a couple of the pieces by stamping with white acrylic paint. I shall be using these other pieces for my last cards.
I used the large Memory box's Tivoli and a Sizzix die cut and added some Glamour Dust for lots of sparkle.
Then it was time to put on my creative hat.
Here is my finished card
I hope my card brings a little sparkle to these long dark nights.
I would like to enter it into the following challenges;
The Funkie Junkie's 12 tags of Christmas #9
PaperArtsy Masterboards topic 22
Pixie's snippets playground 3/3 #205 I have used snippets of card to die cut my snowflakes
Artistic Inspirations anything goes/Christmas
Sparkles Christmas 1/3 die cuts for Christmas
Memory box Season's greetings #7
The Artistic Stamper Christmas
The Funkie Junkie 2/3 'Tis the season

A vintage journey vintage Christmas my masterboard reminds me of 1950s and early 60s Christmas gift wrap.
Will you be lighting a candle tonight? We are off to see Christmas at Kew this evening...I'll take my camera and I think I will need a torch, I think the wind would blow any candles out.
Thanks as always for your visits and comments.
Back soon,
Bye for now,
