Are you ready? I am getting there but I still have a lot left to do. As I know every year it all comes good in the end so I am slowly ticking off that list. I met up with my girlies yesterday in Guildford and got lots more done but I still need some last presents.
I have got out my festive cups
My advent candle is burning down nicely.
I have started to string my cards up from the banisters
and old choc is finally wearing his chocolate decorations.
I have also finished my 10th Funkie Junkie creation.
For those of you who are new to Linda's challenge you can read all the rules of it here. In a nutshell you use her weekly tag for inspiration and you can create anything crafty and as long as all 12 projects are completed by 22 Dec. You also have a chance to win one of her generous prizes. I was lucky enough to win $25 dollars last year to spend in her wonderful on line boutique which sponsors the challenge. Do have a look here at her shop, her stock is enormous and her prices really keen.
I choose to use the challenge to create 12 special Christmas cards.
This is Linda's lovely 10th inspiration tag here.
I loved her gold and white textured background, the gorgeous hanging festive foliage and snowflake and decided to base my card on these ideas. Sorry no photos of work in progress. I was able to work in my studio but my camera really doesn't like the lack of daylight and I cast too many shadows trying to take the photos.
I began with a piece of hessian card and added lots of texture using texture paste, gesso, snowtex and a good sprinkle of glitter. I used a Kraft card base.
I flattened it out overnight and die cut lots of Christmas foliage.
I glittered up a large snowflake.
I stamped my Visible Image sentiment on Kraft, die cut it with my Memory Box stitched rectangle die and finished off with a twine bow.
Here is my finished card.
and a close up
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

This card... is delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm running really late Jane but had to come take a peek at this gorgeous wintery creation with all the lovely textures.
ReplyDeletePhotographs certainly are challenging at the moment, I have a whole batch that need to be at C&C by Wednesday and have been holding out for some sunshine, even ten minutes would have been welcome. Alas only rain so am going to have to improvise with some artificial lighting.
Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge this month.
