Christmas crafting with Daisy and my penultimate Funkie Junkie Christmas card

Daisy and Co came to stay on Saturday night and on Sunday morning she pointed to the garden and pulled on her wellies. I thought she wanted to have a run about in the garden but no....my sweet 2 year old granddaughter picked up my key to my studio and pointed down there. Luckily it has been very mild again so off we headed for some Nanna studio time.

I had lots of Christmas die cuts out on my desk so we were able to make a card for her Mummy and Daddy. There is nothing like a bit of gluing is there............

Daisy has an amazing memory and pointed to my cupboard where I keep this old tin of markers she has used in the past. Out they came for some additional design on her card. She also stamped with some mini ink pads

 Nanna helped with the writing inside and Daisy added some of her own hieroglyphics!
 And here we are....1 Christmas card for her Mummy and Daddy made with love by Daisy xx
I showed her my current work which is my penultimate Funkie Junkie project, she stroked the texture on my latest creation.
For those of you who are new to Linda's challenge you can read all the rules of it here. In a nutshell you use her weekly tag for inspiration and you can create anything crafty and as long as all 12 projects are completed by 22 Dec. You also have a chance to win one of her generous prizes. I was lucky enough to win $25 dollars last year to spend in her wonderful on line boutique which sponsors the challenge. Do have a look here at her shop, her stock is enormous and her prices really keen.

I choose to use the challenge to create 12 special Christmas cards.

This is Linda's lovely 11th tag here. I adore the silver and blue crackled background and showy snowflake and decided to use this inspiration for my card.
Earlier in the week I had added crackle paste to gesso..............
and left it to dry, it took 2 days!
I then sprayed it with blue and silver inks and ended up with this very textured background.
I die cut some snowflakes and added crackle paste to them too.
Like Linda I wanted to show this lovely background off so I kept my design quite simple. The sentiment is Cheery Lynn
Here is it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
