Happy August all and yes it's time for a brand new challenge over at Country View Challenges
The theme is a very apt one for summer, it is Oh I do like to be beside the seaside and you can find all the details here. So obviously we would like to see all your seaside themed projects. My daughter and her family live beside the seaside and there is nothing quite like feeling your toes in the sand.
or looking out to sea
So my seaside themed first make I decided to use one of my favourite sea themed stamp set by Visible Image.
The background was made by fist stamping images from the Dare to swim set. I then used distress glazes on top of crackle texture paste and Visible Image Fibres stencil. You can see the whole process here on the shop blog where I shared it in April.
Next I stamped the Visible Image seahorse in archival ink
and added some gold pen shading
I stamped the words on card and added glossy accents to the bubbles.
I then finished off my card with some sequins. Here it is
with a close up.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge;
Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes
I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our August "O I do like to be beside the seaside" challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.
