Hedgehog hugs and the new Visible Image coordinating dies

Hi everyone, it's time for my fortnightly blogged design team make for Visible Image. Today I am sharing a make using the brand new coordinating dies which were released last week. If this is news to you, 8 fabulous new coordinating die sets have been released to work with their popular drinks, autumn creatures and T shirt sets.

Here they are;

As an introductory offer for the moment there is a also massive 30% off the new dies. Just use the coupon code DIES30 at the checkout.

The sets I am using today are the gorgeous Hedgehog hugs. The stamp set is on the website here and the dies here
I decided to make a canvas to fully showcase the versatility of these fab new dies.

 This is what I got up to;

Using squeezed lemonade, crackling campfire and mustard seed distress oxides ink pads I blended them across a 6X6" piece of card.
 Using crackling campfire again I laid on the autumn leaves stencil

and blended the colour through using an ink blending tool.
I added some drips of water and blotted them off

and also some flicks of Bubbling Couldron distress mica stain spray.

I left everything to dry.
Next I stamped and die cut my elements.

and added some colour to them with distress pencils, inks and glitter pens.
For the base of my canvas I used a piece of corrugated cardboard, one of my favourite free substrates! I ripped the edges and sides. I sprayed it with distress mica stains and then added some gilded foundry wax for some extra shine
I distressed the edge of my leaf panel with a distressing tool and adhered it to the card. Then I started putting my design together.

The dies allow you to layer up lots of fun layers without having to fussy cut them. They also give beautiful smooth rounded edges to your images.
As a final touch I added some flower soft as moss.

Here is my finished canvas;
with a couple of close ups;

and one final shot;
