A proud heart

 Good morning it's time for my fortnightly blogged design team post for Visible Image. As June is Pride month I could not let the month pass by without making something to celebrate this most important annual event. I decided to make a mixed media plaque heart. Equality in this world for everyone is so very important so this stamp set below seemed perfect to use. I love Helen's definition of the word Equality.

Equality, hope and love

I also wanted to share some love so I also used the gorgeous grungy heart from Follow your heart
and added some background stamping using the uber useful
This is what I got up to;
I used an MDF heart from my stash and painted it with gesso.
Using yellow acrylic paint and one of the grunge tones stamps I repeat stamped all over.
I repeated this using the other stamps in the set using red and blue paints.  Do remember to wash your stamps immediately after using paint.
I stamped out the equality sentiment from Equality, hope and love , cut it up and matted it onto red card.
I then cut out a smaller heart shape from card by hand and coloured it using a rainbow of distress inks.

I then stamped the Follow your heart in the centre and clear embossed it, adding some white pen and then added some more grunge tones stamping around the edge.
Here is the finished plaque with its gorgeous rainbow ribbon.

A couple of close ups where you can see I added some glossy accents to the bubbles and decoupaged a couple of the elements in this lovely heart stamp.

and one final shot.

Before I go I just want to mention that FeedBurner are removing their "follow by email" function from Blogger at the end of the month. I have removed it from my side bar already. I have over 1,000 existing lovely email subscribers who I would hate to loose. If you have a Blogger account and currently get notifications by email of my new blog posts I would love if you would just hit my "follow" button on my side bar. My posts will then show up in your reader list feed. Otherwise if you follow me on Instagram, this is me here; or you can find me as @jane.tyrrell I will always mention there which of my posts are blogged. Thanks so much for all your support, Jx
