with the spinnaker tower rising high
We also watched the ferries coming in from the Isle of Wight
Today I am back with my #7 Funkie Junkie tag so I have very nearly caught up week 8 has just been published so I will get that one made this week and post it before next Monday
For those of you who are new to Linda's challenge you can read all the rules of it here. In a nutshell you use her weekly tag for inspiration and you can create anything crafty and as long as all 12 projects are completed by 22 Dec. You also have a chance to win one of her generous prizes. I was lucky enough to win $25 dollars last year to spend in her wonderful on line boutique which sponsors the challenge. Do have a look here at her shop, her stock is enormous and her prices really keen.
I choose to use the challenge to create 12 special Christmas cards.
This is her #7 tag here
I was inspired to use the lovely blues and silver colours on her tag and the snowflakes with gems...and this is how I went about it.
I wanted a very snowy back ground so I repeat stamped a sheet of card with an ancient stamp I own. It looks like little fireworks too in the sky
I then added texture paste through Tim's snowflake stencil
I wanted to put Santa in my snowy sky so I inked up my Crafty Individual stamp...one of my Christmas faves and coloured him with distress inks and markers.
There are no more process photos as I the light in my studio faded fast.
Then it was time to get my creative hat on....and here is my finished card.
and a close up of the sparkly background and my snowy die cuts, they are Whimsy, Noor, Tim Holtz, spellbinders, Cheery Lynn, Marianne and Sizzix. I added some blue gems too.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
The Funkie Junkie's 12 tags of Christmas 2015 #7
Country view The colour blue
Crafty Individuals Winter frost
Noor UK anything goes
A vintage journey baby you're a firework my old stamp I used has little "fireworks" in the background.
Pixie's snippets playground 2/3 #203 I used lots of snippets of frosted white card for my die cuts and a piece of silver for the star
Mixed Media world anything goes
Take it make it November take a stamp
Ribbon Girl 2/3 use any stamp
Craft Barn 2/3 Guinness book of records luckily Jane has allowed a loose link for something which "could" be a record...I think my record might be the number of different brand Christmas die cuts used on a single Christmas card I used 7 ;0)
We love to create mixed media/anything creative #23
Rubber dance white/blue/red winter inspiration
Flonzcraft Vintage Traditional Christmas
Sweet stamping wrap up warm my Santa is wrapped up warm in his cloak and hat
We saw Spectre on Friday night and really enjoyed it. Daniel Craig is a great Bond and the action scenes and locations are Bond at it's best. I'm off for another Christmas shop on Thursday afternoon with my dearest friend Karen...it's our annual jaunt and we manage to fit a long lunch and afternoon tea in too.
Thanks for visiting me here today and for taking the time to leave your comments.
